General Convention, 2006

This page is a collections of links to several Web resources about the 2006 General Convention, which will be June 12 to 21 in Columbus, Ohio. I anticipate very good Web coverage of the Convention. Because of that, this page will not be as extensive as it was three years ago. Fortunately, that isn't necessary this time. These pages should be up and available for some time after Convention is over.

• You can subscribe to ENS for Daily Convention Reports and other Episcopal Church news here.

• The General Convention News Website--has up to the minute information. This will be an invaluable site.

• Other sources of Daily News from General Convention.
   

• More Information about General Convention Includes:

• The General Convention Office of the National Episcopal Church. The site has a bunch of good information on it.

• "Understanding General Convention" A useful overview of what General Convention is and how it works from the Diocese of West Texas.

• The "Blue Book", of Reports and Resolutions to Convention, prepared several months before Convention, is on line. 

• Report of the Special Commission on the Episcopal Church and the Anglican Communion--Reflections and suggested Resolutions in response to The Windsor Report.

• The General Convention Pages of the Diocese of Southern Ohio.  This is a nice introduction to Convention, with information about the city and Convention facilities. Note especially the useful "Resources for General Convention" page.

• Louie Crew's General Convention Pages.  Louie is a bit of a character and has a perspective, but he also offers some of the most informative Web pages in the Church. This always in process yet comprehensive General Convention page is well worth a careful look.

• Anglicans On Line always has a interesting perspective and solid news.
